Description
Few bands during the early stage achieved what Tormentor did during their early days. The fact that the recordings that should have led them to a record deal are hailed and considered as classics in retrospective thirty plus years after their release, is not one of those futile cases of underground nostalgia.
Undoubtedly they never saw or perceived the adversity of creating furious devilish music in Western Europe under the vigilant and asphyxiating breath of the communist yoke, as a discouraging factor. They probably didn’t think or philosophize about that and just went with the flow and the passion, fueled by the hormone burst and boundless rage as the teenagers they were.
And they certainly weren’t even aware that their demos would become so extremely influential. “Anno Domini” seems to be in highest regard and consideration, being mentioned and in everybody’s lips when referring to them. But the extremely morbid yet melodic opening riff of the song “Tormentor” (first tune on the tracklisting of “7th Day of Doom”) is itself an omen of the sonoric pandemonium they delivered with one of the strongest debut demos in Metal history.
For a band that had barely been together since their inception for two years, the skillfulness not only as instrumentalists but as unbelievable composers, was eons ahead of the 4×4 riffing pattern most of the bands from the genre and satellite styles were attached to, becoming legendary.
Officially approved by the band, this triangular shaped die cut patch measures 29×29 cm (11,4”x11,4”) and comes housed in custom 35×30,5 CM (13,7”x12”” collective OBI flap with exclusive liner notes (not available anywhere else) and assembled in crystal clear polybag. If ordered alone, this item is mailed on a stiffened cardboard envelope preserving both the patch and the packaging in perfect condition.
